Forward Guidance Could ‘encourage risk’

The Bank of England’s policy of giving forward guidance on interest rates could be encouraging excessive risk-taking, the banker to the world’s central banks has warned.

A report by the Bank for International Settlements says that the four big central banks that give forward guidance could be encouraging “a build-up of financial vulnerabilities”.
